This hand painted bag will live close to my heart. It’s the first design of my first round of hand painted bags of 2026, that I painted in preparation for the Tanana Valley Farmer’s Market.

I chose Spruce Tips in honor of a close friend who passed in 2023, who’s love of foraging and providing the community with healthy and hearty meals that included locally harvested flora continues to inspire me and countless others.

These hand painted bags are made with an insulated and easy to clean lining, and a durable non-woven cloth. My designs are largely inspired by our surroundings here in interior Alaska, and the wealth of sustenance in our natural world. My original painted bags were for personal use, and intended to meet specific needs. With the spirit of utility in mind, I want to share them with others.
