In The Works 8/24

Hello!

Over the last few days, I’ve added a couple new shop listings! With more on the way. The newly added include 3 different bags. I’ll be adding more prints, both photography and art this week. A couple just need pictures before I can finish them up.

Now, on to stuff that’s getting planned for:

The holiday bazaar! “But it’s August!” And if I don’t start now, I won’t be ready… Haha. That’s all there is to it. We have less than a month left of the market, and I want to go into the holidays with plenty of product and plenty of time to nail down booth details. I’m planning on trying out new displays, a new layout, and new products. So there’s a lot to plan for. I’ve had a lot of requests that I want to see through, and I’ve had a lot of my own ideas learning from the market.

Holiday windows! Part of planning for the bazaar is trying to make sure I’m prepped enough that I don’t have to think about production during peak painting time. With this summer being such a struggle, and so stressful for windows… I don’t plan on repeating that. I’m still committed to the artform… I love sharing art with windows. For the rest of this year, I think I’ll be focusing on smaller projects though until I figure out my winter flow with production. I’ll probably use this week to sketch out some simple (but great!) designs for the holidays to post to my socials.

As far as products go, I do want to give some indication of what I’m planning. I’d also like to ask for suggestions!

Variety:

Insulated bags - The same! A small, medium, and large.

Non-Insulated bags - Very different. First of all, I’ve found canvas ones that I love. I prefer working with canvas, and I feel like they’re a better quality. As for sizes… A small (8×8.5), an accessory bag (pencil/makeup… 4×7.5), a medium size with zipper (16.5×13.5), AND a bottle bag.

Clothing!!! - Tees, hoodies, and scarves.

All of these items will be hand painted… I decided against print on demand clothing for my products. These bags and clothing pieces will also give me plenty of options for fine art prints, cards, and stickers.

I also have a plethora of canvas paintings I’m working on.

As for actual designs… The most commonly requested are ravens, foxes, fireweed, and blueberries. Any other suggestions/requests are welcome! I have a list besides these going.

This is kind of just a quick “Hey! I’m working on stuff!”, but a longer blog will be in the works for next Monday : )
