Reflected Perspectives

In the quiet spaces between moments, droplets cling to leaves and branches, holding tiny worlds within their fragile surfaces.

This collection captures the fleeting beauty of reflection—where water, light, and nature converge to create miniature mirrors of the forest. Each image invites you to look closer, to see familiar surroundings through a distorted, crystalline lens, and to find wonder in the smallest of details.

Through these delicate orbs, perspectives shift, revealing how the forest holds countless stories within a single drop.

Frozen In Memory

A single teardrop of winter clings to the memory of autumn, suspended between seasons. The amber-hued seed pods, kissed by frost, cradle a crystal droplet that mirrors the forest around it.

It incapsulates a moment of quiet reflection held within nature’s delicate balance.

In this fleeting pause, life and decay intertwine, reminding us of the beauty to be found in transition.

Aspirations in reflections:

Part one & Part TWO

Tender buds, kissed by the last chills of winter, cradle the reflection of what’s to come.

These branches hold their future at the tip of their grasp. A moment of life caught between dormancy and renewal, the droplets cling to the coming spring’s offerings of life on the tapered ends of textured branches.

The forest’s quiet flow gathers strength in the fleeting union of old and new. We are reminded that even in stillness, life is swelling to bloom again.

These photos were taken in succession, during a calm walk in the warmth of the growing sunlight. It was a moment of catharsis, after a long difficult winter. In the midst of my wanderings, I took a moment to recognize that some endings are necessary for new growth.

Suspended Whispers:

Part ONe & Part Two

Tiny droplets, like the boreal forest’s string of pearls, cling to delicate threads of Usnea. They glisten with the muted light of early winter.

The intricate web of lichen weaves through the rugged branch, holding fragments of the midday warmth in a fragile dance with gravity.

Each bead reflects the world around it, holding the ethereal echo of the forest suspended.

I felt the moment required two photos:

One focused on the branch standing in the shadows of the black spruce in the background. It seemed to be reaching, looking for recognition in its efforts.

One paying tribute to the branch’s delicate decoration of water droplets.

The closer I got to the branch, the more condensation I saw. Every drop looked perfectly placed to catch an image of the surrounding trees, as if the branch was reflecting on its own existence as part of a whole and as its own.
